Fellow Long Rider Orion Kraus recommended I visit Las Cañadas del Bosque, a unique Agroecological Farm and Learning Center located just outside of Huatusco, Veracruz.
It was a great rest to stay there for 3 days while I got ready for the Mexican Altiplano further above. I met lots of interesting co-op members as well as students and apprentices of this unique example of sustainability.
I interviewed founder Ricardo Romero before I left as I knew he had many interesting and valuable things to share regarding the evolution and success of his one of a kind farm and school.
I hope you enjoy it, and that it inspires you to plant a tree and celebrate diversity..
