PART 2: OUR NEXT TRIP

Roxy and I are heading back on the road in May. We’ll be heading north to Mexico where we will ride around for a year or so.

5001 Mexico a Caballo promises a much different ride from our first one.

First off, we aren’t going anywhere in particular, other than back up to the north of Mexico, visiting friends from the first ride, then riding back south. Finishing where it feels right, where I can get a safe place for Roxy, and a position teaching English. There is no set destination nor is there a timeline. But that doesn’t mean this second trip is going to be a random hippy ride. Far from it.

A relaxing afternoon after a good ride last May. Just south of Rio Verde, San Luis Potosi.

With new friends riding together to celebrate a boda. Iturbide, Nuevo Leon.

This time my goals are to share the lives of my trip hosts and horse people I meet along the way, as well as share what I know about horse travel.

This time, WE ARE GOING TO TRAVEL TO THE CENTER OF MEXICAN HORSE CULTURE AND SHARE IT WITH THE WORLD!!!

Spontaneous cabalgata in Doctor Arroyo, San Luis Potosi. There is no bad reason to get together and ride in Mexico.

Club de Cabalgantes de Nuevo Leon. This club and many more opened up their lives to Roxy and I while travelling as strangers.

I have some awesome trip partners and sponsors who have shown their faith n my dream and mission. For example, every week I will be featured on an extremely popular Mexican horse themed TV show named Bridon TV! I will summarize my weekly adventures, people met, places visited, with of course, food highlights! Easycare is back on board and possibly Mad Barn, if we can work out logistics.

Because I find horse riding to be extremely healthy and therapeutic, I decided to ride and raise funds for Equine Therapy in Mexico. Red de Terapias en Mexico represents over 150 Equine Therapy Centers in Mexico.

Throughout the trip I will be giving back to my hosts and local horse people by offering donation based workshops about Long Distance Horse Travel, specifically travel with one barefoot horse. My book THE ESSENTIAL GUIDE TO SOLO HORSE TRAVEL is the basis for these talks. I will also interview and film my horse hosts regarding their horse pursuits. It’s going to be awesome! Featured horse owners, ranches, farms, lienzo charros, and cuadras will be profiled and presented all throughout our ride. These aspects to the trip fulfill my strengths and passion for Tech, Training and Talking…

I’m SUPER excited….
