Have you ever used horse saddlebags?
These specialty bags are added to the horse saddle when trekking or traveling far distances. These journeys could be a simple day trip, a weekend getaway, or a multi-month expedition.
Travelers by horse navigate in two main ways. Either they travel in groups with riding horses and a string of pack/ gear horses, or they journey solo with one or more horses. Solo trekkers taking just one 4-legged beast have the greatest challenges carrying what they want on their adventures. They usually take the bare minimum and leave the rest at the ranch.

Here’s a link to the saddle bags we used on our first international horse trip in 2017-18. We still use some of them!
