I went to drop off my saddle bags with my friend Otto at SABESA…He’s a farrier, trimmer, leather worker and saddle maker. He made these saddle bags for me but now we are going to get some new logos put into the leather.
We’ve been doing some short intense rides and we’ve improved her diet since February. We had some poor feed in January and February, but we got a better source of hay in March. We also started adding soy into the Omelina 300 feed. The changes have made a great difference.
I have read articles from horse vet experts saying a horse should be introduced to new feed slowly. I also have read books where cavalry men and horse adventurers described all the different things your horse could eat while on the road, and how to do it so as not to hurt the horse.
