5000 Miles of Hope Trip Route

This is the 5000 mile, 18 month, horse RIDE route. Without the people I meet along the way, I won’t be able to do this trip.

It’s been said that the last few weeks before any major takeoff is the hardest.

Right now I’m feeling happiness, excitement, impatience, anxiety, uncertainty and frustration.

Tack and gear, shots for me and the horse, visiting an endurance horse racing event, the charity auction, getting my new saddle, getting camp ready.

In 2014 I decided to go on this trip as an interesting way to get back to my former winter home of Guatemala.

Maya Pedal develops, builds, markets and distributes sustainable pedal powered technology to assist Guatemalans in their day to day life.

In September 2017, we embark on a 2 year 5000 mile horse ride- to discover delicious food, visit healthy farms, and raise funds for Maya Pedal.
